About the Art

Safina’s contemporary Indigenous art encompasses vibrant and intense tones, fluid contours and vivid imagery that intentionally portray themes of joyful possibilities.   In this, Safina seeks to share hope—with each piece subtly embodying this positive message. Her subject matter ranges from topographic landscapes of interior Australia, to sea creatures of the Torres Strait Islands often integrating iconic symbols of traditional Aboriginal art.   She also has painted a diverse range of commissioned pieces.
